Five Finger Death Punch guitarist made a guest appearance on Italy’s Radiofreccia on the Megadeathpunch tour prior to the bands F8 album release and show in Milan.
On the bands approach to songwriting Bathory says, “For the longest time we always write the music first because we have this belief that the music on its own should be able to speak to you. It should already communicate pretty complex ideas and feelings. “
“Since we’re in Italy, lets pick Vilvaldi. Vivalidi’s ‘Four Seasons’, if you play any of those parts. If I play you Winter, you know it’s winter. How do you know? See what I mean? Somehow the music communicated something without words. It can give you a feeling. You know which one is ‘Spring’, which one is ‘Summer’.”
“So we always believe that the music itself has to give you some kind of feeling first before vocals get added.”
Also in the interview, Zoltan talks about how the band works together on releases and writes bits and pieces for future Five Finger Death Punch music alongside long-time producer Kevin Churko. He also talks about how many guitars he owns and which guitars are his all-time favourites.

The bands eighth album F8 was released on 28 February 2020 and is currently vying for the top spot on album charts across the globe including the UK album chart. The band is on course for its highest UK chart position since 2015’s Got Your Six.
Five Finger Death Punch has just completed its 2020 European Tour and is preparing to launch its Spring U.S Tour in arenas across the United States in April and May 2020 with Papa Roach, I Prevail and Ice Nine Kills.
