5FDP fans got our six with fan-filmed footage on the first show of the USA leg of the M72 Tour.
Five Finger Death Punch played their highly anticipated first show as the support act on Metallica’s ‘M72’ on Sunday 6 August 2023 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.
To recap, the band was expected to be part of the tour from its kick-off earlier this year in Amsterdam, however, due to Ivan Moody’s hernia surgery the band was unable to join in the stadium fun. Instead, Nightwish’s Floor Jansen and fellow Dutch Symphonic Metallers, Epica valiently stepped in to cover 5FDP’s spot for a handful of European dates.

The M72 Tour continues throughout 2023 and 2024 with dates across the USA, Europe and South America confirmed. The tour sees Metallica play two shows in every venue, with the second night featuring a completely different setlist and supporting line-up to the one before it, as well as a new in-the-round stage design.
Support on select dates comes from Architects, Mammoth WVH, Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, Volbeat, Greta Van Fleet and Pantera.
