Five Finger Death Punch will no longer be performing on the opening night of the M72 World Tour in Amsterdam.
Due to unforeseen circumstances following Ivan Moody’s recent surgery, Five Finger Death Punch has sadly cancelled its appearance on the opening night of Metallica’s M72 World Tour at the Johan Cruijf Arena in Amsterdam, Netherlands on Saturday 29 April 2023.
A statement posted on the bands official website said, “As many of you know, Ivan recently had surgery to correct an acute hernia injury. The recovery proved more challenging than initially thought and on the advice of his doctors, Ivan and Five Finger Death Punch will not be able to perform the show in Amsterdam with Metallica. The band will perform ALL subsequent scheduled dates. See you in Paris! 🤘🏼”
Following the band statement, Ivan Moody issued a video statement (below) of his own on his official Instagram page thanking fans for their support and well wishes.
Floor Jansen, the current frontwoman of Finnish Symphonic Metallers Nightwish and formerly of ReVamp and After Forever, will replace Five Finger Death Punch for the opening show on the M72 Tour in Amsterdam. Jansen will play a set in support of her recently released solo album ‘Paragon’.
All other dates remain unaffected and Five Finger Death Punch will perform as planned.
The UK Knuckleheads wish Ivan a speedy recovery and journey back to the stage.
