5FDP add more platinum certified records to their growing collection.
Five Finger Death Punch‘s 2015 album, Got Your Six and both of the bands ‘Blue On Black’ singles, including the iconic version featuring Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Brian May and Brantley Gilbert, have been certified Platinum in the USA by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).
The RIAA’s Gold and Platinum Program is the industry’s premier program for celebrating artistic achievement in the marketplace. The awards are earned by artists who have met rigorous standards, and recipients join the ranks of the most iconic recording artists.
To date Five Finger Death Punch has achieved the platinum status, which recognises one million sales/sales equivalent in streams, on eight seperate occasions for the albums ‘American Capitalist’, ‘The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1’ and, ‘War Is The Answer’. Alongside ‘Blue On Black’, to date ‘Bad Company’ and ‘A Little Bit Off’ are the only two other songs to have achieved platinum status.
The band also holds Gold accolades recognising 500,000 sales/sales equivalent streams for ‘The Way of the Fist’, ‘The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 2’, and ‘And Justice For None’. In fact, ‘F8’ (2020) and ‘AfterLife’ (2022) are the only albums that the band has made that do not hold Gold or Platinum accolades (yet!).
