The bands recently released single ‘This Is The Way ft. DMX’ made history on the Billboard Mainstream Airplay Chart.
Five Finger Death Punch makes history on the Billboard charts landing the bands 15th number one single.
According to Billboard, ‘This Is The Way ft. DMX’ is Five Finger Death Punch’s 11th straight Mainstream Rock Airplay Number one single, lengthening the longest streak of leaders in the chart’s 43-year history.
Five Finger Death Punch’s impressive run on the Billboard first began back in 2018 with ‘Sham Pain’ from the bands ‘And Justice For None’ album. Since then the bands streak has continued with ‘When The Seasons Change’, ‘Blue On Black’, ‘Inside Out’, ‘A Little Bit Off’, ‘Living The Dream’, ‘Darkness Settles In’, ‘Welcome To The Circus’, ‘AfterLife’ and ‘Times Like These’ each landing the number one slot.
Previous tracks from the bands back catalogue ‘Battle Born’ and ‘Lift Me Up’ have also landed the number one position bringing the bands total number one singles to 15 making them the third-most number ones in the chart’s history ahead of Foo Fighters and Metallica no less. In fact only Three Days Grace and Shinedown boast more number ones.
‘This Is The Way ft. DMX’ also marks the late rapper’s first number one on Mainstream Rock Airplay. At the time the band unveiled its collaboration with DMX, 5FDP’s Zoltan Bathory said, “The idea of collaborating with DMX had been in discussion for years, and it was a long and winding road to turn this particular item on our wish list into reality.”

‘This Is The Way ft. DMX’ is taken from 5FDP’s ‘AfterLife: Deluxe’ album which is out now and in addition to the DMX track also features three new acoustic versions of ‘AfterLife’ songs for fans to enjoy.
