Anette Skutevik from Eternal Terror Live spoke to Chris Kael prior to Five Finger Death Punch’s concert in Oslo, Norway in January 2020.
In the interview, Chris shares the story of how F8 got its name, taking the time out to see the Viking Museum in Oslo and life on the road with Five Finger Death Punch on the 2020 European Tour.
Speaking on how the Megadeath Punch tour came about, Kael says upon hearing the band would be playing with Megadeth, that he initially thought that this meant 5FDP would be opening for Megadeth in Europe – the prospect of which he looked forward to.
On Five Finger Death Punch fans, the bassist says he hears a lot via social media of personal stories and feels, “Lucky to have the opportunity to be in a band that touches people the way they do and has a connection which has happened naturally.” Adding that, “It’s a family and a movement.”

Five Finger Death Punch is currently embarking on its biggest European arena headline tour to date ahead of it’s eighth album release ‘F8’ on 28 February 2020. Megadeth and Bad Wolves are appearing at the majority of dates as special guests on the tour.
