Rupp Arena TV recently tagged along with Five Finger Death Punch bass player Chris Kael, a Lexington, KY native, as he returned to his hometown to headline the Rupp Arena with 5FDP on 6 December 2019.
In the clip dubbed ‘Kael Comes Home’, Chris shows fans around various spots in his hometown including the room where he first learnt to write music aged five after he first saw KISS. It’s also revealed that the Rupp Arena is the first ever venue that Chris saw a concert at which was none other than Cinderella and Winger.
He also makes a visit to his old High School where he played his first ever live shows growing up before graduating in 1992. The clip even shows the music room where Chris occupied the 6th chair for clarinet which was his instrument before a teacher named Mr Moore convinced him to play bass.
Fans may also want to check out our last blog post where Chris Kael appeared on Kentucky Sports Radio to learn more about his Clarinet playing days.
Elsewhere Chris reminisces playing on pinball machines at a local arcade and says the only high school class he showed up to was Home Economics.
