How many Five Finger Death Punch tattoos do you have?
One big arm piece.
How long did the tattoo(s) take to get done? Did you have to have multiple sessions with your artist?
It started as the knucklehead skull and took 1 sitting lasting 2 hours with an artist called La Vale. Then after a few months I decided to add the body and went with the design from the limited edition poster inside the deluxe edition of the first album Way Of The Fist.
The body was done in 2 sittings first one was again done by LaVale and took her 2 hours. Second was 2 hours and it added the shading and colour to the body.
This was done by a close friend, Pixie at Henshin Tattoos (Insta: Pixiehenshin_).
What made you decide to have the band inked on you?
Well 5FDP has been my favourite band since I first heard them in 2008.
I saw their name on the poster for the “Metal Hammer Defenders Of The Faith 2 Tour” decided to listen to them on YouTube and was instantly hooked. I bought the album and a ticket to see them live at that tour and was blown away.
Never stopped listening to the album for months after and then decided I’d get my favourite bands mascot on my arm.
Once I got it thought it was awesome and that I should get more done to it so I added the body.
Have any of the band members seen your ink?
Not to my knowledge.
How did you decide on what design to pick for the tattoo(s)?
It was an easy choice to pick Knucklehead as it looked so awesome on the t-shirts and album cover. The body was chosen because I wanted to add my to the tattoo and had a poster from the deluxe “Way Of The Fist” album. Decided that was the one and got it done.
Do you have any plans to get any more 5FDP themed ink in the future?
Yes I do. I’m gonna finish the body first. Then I’m going to add various designs off the album covers till I have my perfect 5FDP sleeve!!
