Sixx:AM tease new project with cryptic announcement on social media featuring some big names from the Rock and Metal world including 5FDP’s Ivan Mooody
Sixx:AM has announced the launch of a new Artists For Recovery initiative.
The band will be releasing a new version of Maybe It’s Time from 2016’s Prayers For The Blessed, Vol 2 album as part of the initative. Alongside Ivan Moody, the project is also set to feature the likes of Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Joe Elliot (Def Leppard), Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour), AWOLNATION, Brantley Gilbert and Tommy Vext (Bad Wolves).
Maybe It’s Time brings together artists to help fight substance use disorders and help people in recovery. The track will also be part of the soundtrack to the film Sno Babies, which will be available on on-demand and digital platforms on Tuesday 29 September.
Sno Babies is the first feature from Better Noise Films, a new venture led by entertainment industry legend Allen Kovac (CEO) and Dan Lieblein (Cinecom, October Films, USA Films and USA Home Entertainment).
The story of Sno Babies was inspired by actual events, and in honor of the thousands of families who are struggling with substance use disorders, Better Noise Films is partnering with the Global Recovery Initiatives (GRI) to deploy 1,000 AmeriCorps recovery workers into local communities.
Produced by Allen Kovac and Mike Walsh (Philly Born Films) is a gripping tale about the grim realities of opioid addiction and its effects on middle-class suburbia. The soundtrack features music from Bad Wolves, Sixx: A.M, Cory Marks and From Ashes To New, amongst others.
