5FDP’s Andy James talks to Megadeth’s Kiko Louriro about learning Five Finger Death Punch songs, guitar techniques and composition and of course his own playing style.

The Megadeathpunch Tour may have finished some months ago before COVID-19 hit, but a brand new interview featuring 5FDP’s Andy James being interviewed on the tour by Megadeth’s Kiko Loureiro has just been released.
In the interview Andy talks about his approach to learning Five Finger Death Punch songs at the eleventh hour for the tour including mastering the Inside Out solo. He also discusses guitar techniques and composition, guitar practice in general and more.

At the time of the interview earlier this year, James was drafted onto the the final few dates of the tour to fill in for then lead guitarist Jason Hook. In October 2020, Five Finger Death Punch announced that Andy James had become a permanent member of the band following Jason Hook’s decision to leave the band.
The first single to feature Andy James was confirmed as Broken World from the bands recent A Decade of Destruction Volume 2 greatest hits complilation release in October 2020.
The release includes four previously unreleased tracks; Broken World, a Steve Aoki remix of Bad Company, a Joe Hahn remix of Wash It All Away, a Felmax remix of Trouble plus the new acoustic version of Wrong Side Of Heaven.
